Year 9: Electronics including a 555 timer circuit, Mechanisms, Garden Display, Game housing and design, orthographic drawing, Solidworks.

Year 10: Pneumatics, Basketball Ring, Mood Lamp Manufacture, Genie, Circuit wizard, Product Redesign using sketching.

Sentinus programme, the home of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) enrichment and enhancement activities for schools in Northern Ireland, providing a wide range of programmes designed to support the teaching and learning of these subjects particularly within a real world context.

Target Group: Year 13

Team R&D – STEM (formerly the Engineering Education Scheme) aims to give young people an insight into the world of professional engineering. Through the involvement of high calibre, well motivated students who have the potential to become future leaders in their field, the Scheme aims to increase the number of young people choosing engineering as a career.
