Shared Education Art Exhibition

Shared Education Art Exhibition

The Art and Design departments of both the Royal and the Academy are currently exhibiting the work of their GCSE and A Level students in the
Exhibition Space on the second floor of the Ranfurly House Arts and Visitors Centre.  This fine display of artistic and creative talent forms part
of a much great collaborative programme between the two schools sharing a diverse range of curricular, extra-curricular  and pastoral activities.
From the joint Duke of Edinburgh/President’s Award expeditions for the Sixth Form to the Year 8 sports and activity day, the outstanding
collaborative History programme and a range of other cross-community initiatives, the Shared Education experience has greatly enriched the
lives of many pupils from both schools. We look forward in the coming academic year to further developing and expanding this fine programme
which  nurtures  respect for identity and diversity  whilst promoting the good of all in the community.

The exhibition which was visited yesterday by the Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Kim Ashton runs until Wednesday 27 September.
