The Keystone Group – Gold Sponsor “An Evening of Celebration”
St Patrick’s Academy is delighted to have so much support from businesses who are Gold Sponsors at ‘An Evening of Celebration’ which will take place on February 3, 2018. We want to share with you who our Gold Sponsors are. A big thank you to The Keystone Group for being extremely supportive and we look forward to welcoming you to our gala event.
Keystone Lintels, was founded in 1989 by Sean Coyle and is based in Cookstown, County Tyrone. The Keystone Group consists of Keystone Lintels, IG Lintels, IG Elements, Smartroof, IG Masonry Support Systems and Keylite Roof Windows. With a strong focus on innovation the company has grown to its present position in the marketplace by establishing a reputation for reliable supply of quality specialist products.
The short history of The Keystone Group has been one of relentless expansion and continuous innovation while redefining the meaning of service in the construction industry. Production facilities in South Derbyshire, Cwmbran, Cookstown and Poland provide an efficient, flexible and ergonomic working environment, which is part of the culture of quality and service at Keystone.
Core values of innovation, fun, quality, technical expertise and commitment were voted for and agreed upon by staff and are integral to the way in which business is conducted.
The Keystone Group has grown in less than 30 years from a small family run business, with a handful of staff, to a company which spans a multitude of production and office facilities across Northern Ireland, England, Wales and Poland. With over 1,100 staff and counting, the growth in recent years has been exponential. The core of the business is centred on the production of steel lintels and roof windows, but, in recent years, the Group has developed three other businesses manufacturing panelised roof systems, masonry support systems and GRP components including dormers and canopies.
Following on from an extremely successful 2016, The Keystone Group has continued its winning ways into 2017, having been named Materials Supplier of the Year at the Construction News Specialist Awards in March and Irish News Workplace & Employment Awards Best Place to Work in June. Success has followed for the companies within the Group also, with Keylite picking up product awards for its new Polar White PVC Roof Window range at both the Housebuilder Product Awards and the Irish Construction Industry Awards. IG Elements was recognised as Best Manufacturer at the Burton Mail Business Awards in October against stiff competition from several local businesses.
As a group, Keystone continually invests in state-of-the-art plant and machinery as well as new premises and expanding current facilities. 2017 has seen the opening of a new manufacturing facility for IG Elements at Woodville in South Derbyshire, tripling its production capacity. IGMS has also seen expansion at both its Cookstown and Swadlincote bases, reflecting the growth of the business in both markets. Plans are in place for a new manufacturing plant at Zambrow, Poland, for the Keylite Roof Window business as part of its major expansion across Europe and further afield.
The Keystone Group is renowned for its relentless innovation, constantly striving to improve on its current offering through improved products and services. Innovation drive the business which currently has 42 patents, 11 product awards and over 30 staff dedicated to designed and product innovation.
The Keystone Group’s reputation in the industry is built upon existing award winning innovations across a range of offsite products. This track record attracts interest amongst major developers and leads to their engagement with Keystone’s R&D team, who get involved in their strategic planning for new building methods. Such liaison with the customer base means the company can produce exactly what the market needs and go further than its competitors in this regard.
2017 has been an outstanding year for The Keystone Group, the pinnacle of which was being named ‘Materials Supplier of the Year’ at the Construction News Specialist Awards in March. With new strategic partnerships and acquisitions in discussion, The Keystone Group is in an extremely strong position as it looks towards 2018.
