Key Stage 3 Prize-Giving
Pictured at the Key Stage 3 Celebration of Achievement Ceremony are the pupils who achieved 3rd Place in Year 10: Martyna Abelkyte, Conan Burns, Cara Connolly (Abs), Adrienne Devlin, Oisín Devlin, Meghan Doherty, Emma Lowe (Abs), Zara McAnerney, Orlagh McConville, Cora McMahon, Orlagh Tennyson and Christo Thomas (Abs). Fifteen Year 10 pupils achieved 12 A grades in their KS3 subjects and they shared the award for 2nd Place in Year 10 at the Key Stage 3 Celebration of Achievement Ceremony. Ten Year 10 pupils achieved a magnificent 13 A grades in their KS3 subjects. Very well done to Kayla Blacker, Lára Devlin, Maria Donaghy, Oilibhia Farley, Clare Kelly, Connor Mackle, Eóin McGeary, Alanna O’Neill (Abs), Annabel Quinn and Rhianna Watton. Eight Year 10 pupils received an award for having three years’ full attendance. Pictured with Mrs Kiera Boyle (Assistant Senior Teacher) at the Key Stage 3 Celebration of Achievement Ceremony are Eva Kelly, Jiljo Jogi, Sandro Lopes, Ethan Donnelly, Anna Lyons, Eoin McKeown, Niall Sheeran and Kathryn Dynes.
Mrs Kate Devlin (Senior Teacher) presented Aoife Campbell with an award for being the Most Improved Girl in Year 10.
Aoife McCourt, Dylan O’Neill, Kelly Scott, Conan Burns, Jiljo Jogi, Erwin Ackapadickal, Roisin Lagan and Diana Silva Ribeiro each received the Form Teacher’s Award at the Celebration of Achievement Ceremony. This award recognises the positive contribution that each pupil makes to his/her form class.
Special Award winners at the Celebration of Achievement Ceremony were Kotryna Aglinskaite (EDCO Cup Winner for high achievement in Technology & Design), Xian McCoy Rock (Reader of the Year), Grace O’Hanlon (The Enda McKernan Award for Music), Eva Kelly (The Emer Treacy Cup) and Tiernan Skeffington (Top Fundraiser 2019). The pupils are pictured with Mrs Ann Marie Lilleker (Head of Year 8).
Mrs Katharine Mullin (Head of Year 9) is pictured with Maria Donaghy who was the Top Home Economics Pupil in Year 10. Maria was also presented with the The Cosgrove Award for 1st place in Religious Education, and The Lyttle Award for very high achievement in both Geography & Religious Education.
Year 10 pupil Rebecca Hughes was the recipient of the Margaret McMahon Award for Positive Thinking. Rebecca is pictured with Mrs Margaret McMahon (Vice Principal).
Special sports awards were presented at the Key Stage 3 Celebration of Achievement Ceremony to Matthew Quinn (Junior Sportsman of the Year), and to Lára Devlin and Beth Jones who share the award for Junior Sportswoman of the Year.
