Academy Takes Top Spot in Feis

The curtain came down on yet another extremely successful Feis Dhún Geanainn for Academy students in the Irish section. Students from Year 8 right up through to the senior classes in the Acadamh  impressed adjudicator Bearnaidín Ní Mhuiris across a range of events including poetry recitation, dialogue and public speaking.  Their excellent oratory skills and stage presence won them a great many  prizes and their exemplary command of the Irish language was particularly praiseworthy. Mól an óige agus tiocfaidh sí.

Irish secretary Mrs Marie McArdle  presents Academy students and teachers with cup for best post-primary  school in the Irish section of Feis Dhún Geanainn. Year 9 student Adam de Brún picked up best Key Stage 3 competitor and the most coveted “An Bradán Feasa” awarded to Clár Ní Agáin for best overall senior student
