Keeping The Faith
Thank you to everyone for so fully sharing and participating in our celebration of our Catholic faith last week. We were, indeed, graced with a very full programme of prayerful liturgies and traditional Catholic celebrations culminating with the Year 11 Mass, the making of St Brigid’s Crosses and the special blessing of throats in the Oratory on the Feast of St Blaise. We thank our loyal Chaplain Fr Aidan McCann and our Head of Religion, Mrs Loretta Murray, for their steadfastness in providing and facilitating so many faith-filled opportunities for our students during the past week and, indeed, the past year. Our Sixth Form Retreats, our sacramental celebrations, (penitential and Eucharistic), for each and every Year Group; our flourishing Pioneer programme, our Pro-Life workshops, our teams of volunteers in a host of outreach parish-based pastoral activities; our charitable initiatives including the Lenten Trocaire campaign and the passion and generosity with which so many of our Sixth Formers participate in the Armagh Diocesan Awards programme. As a school community we are truly blessed by the many ways our students serve the wider community and share their God-given talents for the good of all. That’s faith.
