Basketball
The school
has a number of basketball teams for both boys and girls; Yrs 8-11,
U16 and U19. Students train after
school weekly in Dungannon Leisure under the direction of Mr Campbell
and Frankie. Training involves the development of core skills
through drills and concludes with a practice match and cool down.

Camogie
| Students train
after school weekly and as matches approach, training is often extended
to twice a week. Training involves the development of core Camogie
skills and concludes with a practice match and cool down. Our school
Camogie team competes against a number of other schools in the Tyrone
area. |

Gaelic Football
(Boys)
Boys from all year groups can
become involved in football within the school. Students are entered
into a number of Leagues relating to their Year groups; Yr 9-Dalton
Cup, Yr 10-Corn na nÓg, Yr 11-Brock Cup, Yr 12-Rannafast Cup, Yr 13-14-MacRory
Cup. Year 8 boys participate in training during term one on Fridays
from 3.30-4.45pm and enjoy a "Blitz" competition at June.
Training is seasonal and dependant on the teams' success in their
competitions.

Ladies Gaelic Football Team - Under 16/19
Students work on their fitness
training, practice a number of Football drills, and take part in practice
matches. Students enter the Ulster Colleges Competition and
7-a-side tournaments. We have a number of club and county players
on the squad as well as a number of students who participate for the
enjoyment of it. Students are encouraged to attend club, county and
provincial trials. |

Golf
Students who are currently affiliated
with a club and have a registered handicap will especially benefit
from this club, though this is not a necessity. Students with limited
golfing experience are very welcome in the club and a 6 week coaching
course in Dungannon Golf Club will be arranged for these students
to learn the basic skills. During April, the Golf Club enters the
Golf Schools Cup

Hurling
Training involves a focus/practice
of the core skills of hurling and a short match to impress the managers
with newly developed skills ensues St Patrick’s Academy Hurlers
participate in Ulster Colleges B competitions from Year 9 to senior.
Years 8 and 9 take parting the County Tyrone Hurling championships,
and we are currently Tyrone Year 9 champions. |

Netball - Minor(Yr9)/Junior(Yr10)
Pupils partake in netball skills, drills,
fun and games. The netballers play in Northern Ireland Cup and League
competition. A local schools tournament is held annually.

Showjumping
Students who
showjump competitively can have the chance to jump for the school
team in a number of events throughout the school year. The events
usually take place on Saturdays and there are novice competitions
(jump height = 80cm) and open competitions (jump height = 1m). Teams
have four riders on them and the best 3 scores count towards the teams
final score.

Soccer
(Boys)
| Pupils who
participate in soccer train at White City Football Pitch. There
are currently two soccer teams; a senior and a junior team, competing
in the the N.I Schools Cup and the inter-schools League |
